William Bradley 'Brad' Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Pitt was raised in Springfield, Missouri, by his parents, William Alvin Pitt and Jane Etta Pitt (née Hillhouse).

Pitt attended the University of Missouri, where he studied journalism with a focus on advertising. He dropped out just two credits shy of graduating to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles.
