Patrick Mahomes. Breakout and MVP Seasons

Mahomes became the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He threw for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns, becoming the second player in NFL history to achieve this feat in a single season. He was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Mahomes led the Chiefs to the AFC Championship Game, where they lost to the New England Patriots in overtime.

Mahomes won his second NFL MVP award and led the Chiefs to Super Bowl LVII, where he was also named Super Bowl MVP.
